Parting of the 400 families Tlaxcaltecas

By royal decree on June 6, 1591, left the former Convent of Our Lady of the Snows Totolac, 400 families Tlaxcaltecas with the task of colonizing the north.
Through The Big Day Tlaxcala sixteenth century , several populations were founded what is now Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Sinaloa, Nuevo Leon, Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, West Texas, santa Fe, New Mexico, among others.
This historic event also known as Tlaxcala Diaspora is staged on each anniversary with the intention of preserving and disseminating the history of our state
