Sultepec - Tecoaque
The archaeological site of Sultepec-Tecoaque, is a settlement that
was occupied by people Teotihuacan Classic period (300-500 AD) and
Acolhua Postclassic (AD 1300-1520) stands as one of the pre-Hispanic
cities that managed to capture one of caravans of Hernán Cortés in
1520, when the Spanish convoy heading toward Tenochtitlan, from the
Villa Rica de la Vera Cruz, was intercepted by the Acolhuas, and
those captured were offered in sacrifice to various deities. " Location
